Rasmus Hojlund has acknowledged that while there are areas of his game that still need refinement, he remains confident in his development at Manchester United.
The Danish forward has shown glimpses of his potential but is aware of the need to improve further to meet the high standards of the Premier League. "I think I showed last season with being the top scorer for the team that I can score my goals," he said when asked if he believes he will meet the expectations of new coach Ruben Amorim.
The 21-year-old is focused on becoming the team's number-one striker and believes that continued hard work will help him unlock his full potential. "I'm still very young but obviously I would like to take the responsibility and that's why I also took the number nine this year because I think I want to take the next level and the next step," he added.
"But yeah, I still have a lot to grow. I'm still not the finished article. I'm only 21." Amid growing speculation, United are reportedly interested in signing Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon, potentially adding a competition position.
However, the young Danish forward is determined to cement his place as the club's top striker and continue his development without being distracted by transfer rumours.
