Hernandez to refee Barca v Atletico, Martinez to officiate Sociedad v Real Madrid

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed on Monday the referees in charge of the two Copa del Rey semi-final fixtures. Hernandez Hernandez will take charge of the clash between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, while Sanchez Martinez will officiate Real Sociedad v Real Madrid.

Although matchday 25 of La Liga is yet to be concluded, as Sevilla v Mallorca kicks off tonight, everyone's attention has already been shifted towards the Copa del Rey semi-finals. Barca, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad are the teams still in contention for the prestigious trophy.
Following the draw that took place less than two weeks ago, the 'Blaugranas' have been paired with the 'Rojiblancos'while 'Los Blancos' will take on 'Los Txuri-Urdin', and on Monday, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed the referees that will be taking charge of the first legs of the two fixtures.
Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez, from the Las Palmas Committee, has been chosen to officiate the showdown between Barcelona and Atletico on Tuesday night. On the other hand, Jose Maria Sanchez Martinez, from the Murcia Committee, will be the referee for Wednesday's clash between Real Sociedad and Real Madrid.
The Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) of the RFEF also announced that Daniel Trujillo Suarez will be on VAR duty for the first leg at the Olimpico Lluis Companys, with Jorge Figueroa Vazquez doing the same when Ancelotti's men visit the Reale Arena for the first leg against Alguacil's side the following day.
