Pep Guardiola has expressed his admiration for Manchester City's January signing Abdukodir Khusanov, emphasising the 20-year-old's impressive start at the club.
Speaking after City's 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, Guardiola revealed Khusanov's dedication, stating, "Today he travelled without a brush and his washbag. Nothing. He arrived here to play football".
The City boss positively highlighted Khusanov's influence in the Sky Blues' dressing room, describing him as “already incredible” for the team's morale. Guardiola praised the Uzbek defender's qualities on the pitch, highlighting his exceptional pace, passing ability and ability to break down opposition lines.
Despite acknowledging areas for improvement, Guardiola emphasised Khusanov's potential, comparing his speed favourably to other rapid players he has coached.
