Lionel Messi's Inter Miami announced on Thursday the arrival of Argentine-American goalkeeper Rocco Rios Novo, who will join the club on a one-year loan from Club Atletico Lanus.
With Messi as the main man on the pitch and Javier Mascherano on the bench, Inter Miami was already a team with a strong Argentine presence but only on Thursday announced the arrival of two more ‘’Albicelestes‘’, as before introducing Ríos Novo they also unveiled this afternoon the signing of defender Gonzalo Luján for three seasons with an option for a fourth.
The 22-year-old Rios Novo lands in Miami after two seasons with Phoenix Rising of the USL Championship also on loan from Lanus. "The addition of a young and promising goalkeeper like Ríos Novo helps add depth to our competitive goalkeeping department," Inter Miami president of football operations Raul Sanllehí said in a statement.
