Valencia coach Gennaro Gattuso was present at a Christmas dinner organised by the Penas of Valencia to close the year on Thursday.
The coach had a good encounter and even dared to make a promise: "If we reach the cup final, I'm going to Seville on foot," he promised.
"I hope to come at the end of the year and celebrate something. I apologise for my Spanish, which is a disaster. It is a great pleasure for me to be here tonight. I am very proud. From the first moment I came here, I knew we had a very difficult job, but I am very proud to be here and to be coaching at this great club.
"I hope we will improve the mentality, although it is not easy. But I am very happy and thank you very much to you because playing in Mestalla with 41,000 people is very important for us. Merry Christmas to everyone," Gattuso concluded.
