Gabriel Jesus is on the road to recovery after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament earlier this month. The Brazilian forward posted an update via Instagram earlier on Wednesday after undergoing surgery on his knee.
"There will always be answers to everything, which we will only know later on. I believe and trust in God," the 27-year-old wrote as he shared a picture of him smiling with a pair of crutches in his hands.
Jesus, who sustained the injury in the FA Cup third-round clash against Manchester United, will miss the remainder of the season with Arsenal. It is the second time he has suffered a setback of this calibre as he missed a big chunk of the 2022/23 season with a separate knee injury.
Jesus is one of the latest additions to the Gunners' long injury list alongside White, Tomiyasu, Saka and recently Saliba, prompting Mikel Arteta to look for reinforcements in the January transfer window. "We are actively looking in the market to improve the squad," the Spaniard confirmed last week.
