Good news for Fiorentina as Moise Kean has been discharged from the hospital in the early hours of Monday after Saturday's scare at the Bentegodi. The Italian forward collapsed 66 minutes into the 1-0 defeat at Hellas Verona after a serious head injury.
Kean was allowed back on the pitch after receiving treatments from the medics but went down to the floor just minutes later. The game was paused to allow the 24-year-old, who was fortunately conscious, to exit the field with the help of a stretcher and then escorted to a local hospital by an ambulance.
Fiorentina confirmed that Kean was allowed to return to Florence after performing checks. "ACF Fiorentina informs that Moise Kean has been discharged from the Verona hospital and has returned to Florence. The clinical and diagnostic tests performed on the player were all negative."
The incident was a heavy shock to many, especially with Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove suffering a harrowing on-pitch cardiac arrest just months ago in 'La Viola's fixture against Serie A leaders Inter Milan.
