English press contradicted: Chelsea do want to keep Jorginho
Even though the 'Daily Telegraph' had reported that Jorginho was in the list of players that Chelsea wanted to get rid of, 'Sport' claim that is not the case. The midfielder, who has several options for next season such as Barcelona or Newcastle, he is one of Stamford Bridge's priorities in their next batch of contracts.

Do Chelsea want to keep Jorginho or not? The only way to know is to read different news, which change depending on which one you read. A few days ago, the 'Daily Telegraph' reported that the midfielder was on the list of players Chelsea wanted to get rid of together with others like Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz, but 'Sport' have claimed that that is not the case in an article about Barcelona's possiblity of signing him.
The Spanish newspaper have emphasised that the Stamford Bridge's board want to keep the Italian, whose contract is up this summer. If that is the case, there will have to be negotiations soon so that the player stays at a side which are not going through their best patch. Under Graham Potter's spell, there is a complete overhaul underway - Thomas Tuchel is a distant memory.
While the ex-Napoli man's future is being decided, he is being fought over by Newcastle, Barcelona, Juventus and others such as Inter. Wherever his future lies, it is more than likely that he will become an important player there. He has even managed to be short-list for the Ballon d'Or in recent seasons,
Whether he rejects or accepts Chelsea's supposed offer to renew, you get the feeling it will be key for his hopefuls to know what to do with their not-yet concretised offers. If he decides to stay in London, it is quite likely that the other clubs would no longer be interested, as they would then have to pay his €34.3 million fee. The price could even increase due to there being so many clubs after him.
