De Bruyne confirms his future at Man City is 'uncertain'

At 33, Kevin De Bruyne could be facing his final months at Manchester City. The Belgian, whose current contract runs out on 30 June 2025, left open the possibility of leaving the Etihad Stadium at a press conference as he left his continuity next campaign far from clear.
"Obviously when I started the season I knew talks would happen but then I had that thing [thigh injury] against Brentford and put that to a side," the Belgian said on Monday at the press conference ahead of the Champions League match against Feyenoord.
"I was hoping to be out for days but it ended up being eight or nine weeks and I would rather get back first and all the rest will come. I am not too obsessed with things but there is not much I can say. I am fine, I am happy, I just want to play football again and we will see," he continued.
Finally, the playmaker went on to add: "Talks will come, if no talks come it will be my last year. I just want to play good football."
Guardiola, recently renewed until 2027, gave his view on his player's situation: "Just like Bernardo Silva or many other cases, the decision will be made by him. I'm pretty sure he will be sincere. He wants to finish at his best. He won't be here when he thinks he can't produce like he has done in the last decade," the coach told reporters.
