Chelsea's Renato Veiga set to join Juventus on loan

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea defender Renato Veiga is set to join Juventus in a loan deal, which would see him stay with the Turin side until the end of the season as no buy option clause will be included in his contract.

Renato Veiga looked close to completing a loan move to Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund just two weeks ago, however, his next destination now seems to be Turin as Juventus have reportedly won the race for the 21-year-old defender.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Veiga is set to transfer to the Italian giants in a loan deal worth €5 million, which would see him return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season as no buy option clause will be included in his contract.
Veiga has struggled for minutes under Enzo Maresca, particularly in the Premier League. Of his 18 appearances for the club, only seven of them have been in the domestic league as he continues to be preferred for the Conference League fixtures.
The Portuguese would be Juventus' third signing in this January transfer market after Alberto Costa (permanent) and Kolo Muani (loan). Should the deal go through as reported, Veiga will return to the west London side before the start of the Club World Cup in July.
