Arthur Melo's situation at Liverpool is not going to plan. The Brazilian midfielder arrived at Anfield on loan in September 2022 from Juventus, but he's played just 13 minutes with the first team.
What's for sure is that he'll be returning to Turin once the season is over, butit's not clear if he'll stay in Turin. Recently, the footballer gave an interview to 'Goal' where he spoke about his current life and his stint at Barcelona.
"I've been very lucky to play in three big league: La Liga, Serie A and the Premier League... I adapted well in my day to La Liga, I got used to in it a few months. La Liga has a special place in my heart and the chance to go back may come. La Liga is a league that I already know", he said.
He then added: "I've adapted well and for me and my style of play, team that play attacking football suit me, those are my characteristicas. If there's a team that's hungry to get the ball, that's good for me".
"We were talking to Valencia. We were thinking if it was a yes or no. I had to speak to Juventus to know if they authorised loaning me out to Valencia or not. In the end, they ended up signing another player. I had a conversation with Gattuso, someone I admire and respect a lot", he said.
However, the move didn't materialise: "In the end, the clubs didn't end up agreeing, it just happens in football. In the end, the negotiations didn't come through and it was Liverpool who came in for me, somethin which I'm very grateful for".
"Of course I follow what's going at Barca. I've seen the games. Everything seems like they're going to win the league. I've got a soft spot for Barca. Most of all to the fans, who gave me everything. I have a lot of good memories from there and I hope they win it", he said.
And to end, he said: "Busquets has a lot of quality and is the best midfielder I've played with. He's an extremly intelligent person. He plays in a special place, difficult, where players are always popping up, he has the ball a lot.... he hardly loses any balls and he knocks on the door of perfection".
