Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund sit in 7th position in the Bundesliga, just below the European spots. Following a rocky start to the season, their hopes to reduce the four-point defecit to league-leaders Bayern Munich could prove to be harder than initially thought, as Sahin's men see themselves without their star player Karim Adeyemi.
The German international sustained an injury in the Champions League game against Scottish side Celtic, where he had scored a hat-trick before being taken off with a muscle injury. Sahin later confirmed the injury, revealing that the 22-year-old is "expected to return after the international break in November".
As a result, Dortmund will have to survive the rest of their fixtues in October, and start of November, without their forward. Adeyemi will miss Dortmund's fixtures this week against St. Pauli in the league on Friday, as well as the Champions League crunch against Real Madrid on Tuesday.
Adeyemi has scored five goals and provided three assists in the 2024/2025 season thus far. To replace him, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has been called upon by Nuri Sahin. The Englishman will make up, alongisde Julian Brandt and Serhou Guirassy, Dortmund's attack while Adeyemi is sidelined due to injury.
