Jude Bellingham played a key role in Real Madrid's triumphs last season, scoring 23 goals and providing 13 assists in 41 competitive games. However, the 21-year-old has made a shaky start to the new campaign after missing almost all of his side's opening games through injury.
But the English playmaker is now fully recovered and ready to return to La Liga action after playing as a starter against Stuttgart in the new Champions League format. His team are aware of his talent and achievements and have been keen to raise his salary as a result.
According to reports in Spain, Bellingham has received a pay rise to £12.5 million per year, making him the highest-paid player in Carlo Ancelotti's squad alongside French star Kylian Mbappe.
Madrid's board have followed the same plan with Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr, also one of the key players of the 15-time Champions League winners.
