Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi appeared before the Movistar microphones after Barcelona's victory over Napoli in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16. At just 17 years of age, he was awarded the MVP trophy in recognition of a solid performance unbefitting of his youth. He called the day "one of the best" of his "life" and credited "playing out from the back".

Barcelona's 17-year-old centre-back Pau Cubarsi said Tuesday was "one of the best days" of his life after completing the full 90 minutes and being named MVP in Barcelona's 3-1 win over Napoli in the Champions League quarter-finals.
"It was one of the best days of my life because we have reached the quarter-finals after a difficult few years. I'm very happy to win the MVP trophy, but every player deserves it. We went out to win from the start and that's how it showed," the defender told 'Movistar+'.
Speaking in the mixed zone of the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, Cubarsi said that Barcelona went "from pressure to ambition to go out to win from the start" and explained that he just plays the way he knows how regardless of the stage and the opponent.
"That's my style of play, to play calmly what I know how to play. And if I can help the team, I'm very happy. I like to play out from the back, as we've always done at 'Can Barca', and I try to go out and win duels at 200%," he confessed.
