Barcelona close Fermin's renewal until 2029

Fermin Lopez is one of the emerging stars - as well as youngsters - of Hansi Flick's rebuilt Barcelona. However, the 21-year-old has not yet had a chance to shine this season after injury but his first glimpses were already visible in the last few games.
The midfielder is part of the Catalan giants' current long-term project and they have made this clear to the Spaniard. The board made him a contract renewal offer a week ago. And it has reportedly already been signed.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, both parties have agreed that Fermin Lopez will play in the Barcelona colours until June 2029 - still without official confirmation.
"Fermin Lopez and Barcelona, together until June 2029," wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, the journalist specialising in the transfer market.
