After the slip-up against Real Sociedad, FC Barcelona are now focusing on the game against Real Valladolid. But before referring to the match itself, the Catalan coach spoke about the racist insults that Vinicius suffered at Mestalla.
"In general, unfortunately, there have always been cases of racism. That in 2023 these things are happening is regrettable and must be condemned. It goes beyond badges. Valencia are trying to identify these people. We have to eradicate racism once and for all," he said.
In the same vein, the Catalan launched a reflection on the fight against this scourge: "The matches should be stopped. It is the only sport where insults are accepted and I am working. This is a message for the president of La Liga. Insult a worker and a brick will fall on your head".
"How to deal with this? It's not for me to decide. We have to get together and get tough. It's an educational issue. You don't go to a football stadium to insult. I don't go to see a play and if I don't like it, I leave," added the Barca coach.
