Ronald Araujo has just returned to Barcelona after a long period on the sidelines due to injury. Still, rumours have already linked him to an exit from the Catalan club as Juventus seem to be on the trail of the Uruguayan defender.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 25-year-old, whose contract with Barca expires in 2026, is at the top of the 'Bianconeri's list for January as they are in search of a replacement for Gleison Bremer, who is out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury.
Nevertheless, Hansi Flick wants to hear any of it as he stressed his intent to keep Araujo in his squad ahead of Sunday's Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia.
"I want Araujo in my squad because he is one of the best defenders around. He came back from injury and is available to play. I'm aware there are rumours on his future but he's a great professional," the German boss said during his press conference on Saturday.
