The Catalans headed into the break with the lead after a thrilling first half at the Montjuic. Alvarez and Griezmann scored to put the 'Rojiblancos' in front by two goals after less than five minutes. But Barca immediately reacted as they netted twice within two minutes through Pedri and Cubarsi to level things out again. Martinez fired the home side ahead as he directed Raphinha's corner past Musso just before the whistle. However, the drama did not cease in the second period. Yamal showed incredible skills to set up Lewandowski for Barcelona's fourth in the 74th minute but it was not enough to bring down Simeone's men. Llorente cut the deficit with his strike getting a decisive deflection off Gavi before Sorloth bagged a last-gasp equaliser to silence the home crowd and reinstore faith in Atletico ahead of the second leg next week.
