Atletico reportedly reach agreement for Morata deal

The Spanish forward has finally reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid and will sign the new contract soon, according to 'Marca' on Friday.

Atletico Madrid have finally been able to close themselves a very good deal. It concerns the extension of Alvaro Morata, who, according to 'Marca' wants to continue his career with the Spanish side.
The 30-year-old forward has reportedly accepted the contract extension which keeps him at Atletico until 2026, rather than 2024, which was the end of his current contract. This closes off his possible return to Juventus and the deal is expected to be announced officially soon.
This season, the Spanish squad captain has socred 15 goals and provided three assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
Morata came up through Real Madrid, before moving to Juventus for two seasons. He returned to the capital for one season, before spending two years with Premier League side Chelsea.
He first came to Atletico whilst on loan from the Blues, but after joining the Spanish side officially, he spent two years on loan at Juventus. He now looks to stay with the Spaniards for the next three seasons.
