Atletico and RB Leipzig confirm Vermeeren's move

Arthur Vermeeren is already a RB Leipzig player. A few days ago, all the requirements to activate the mandatory purchase of the player by the German club were fulfilled.
"After having fulfilled the conditions agreed between both parties, thus making the purchase option effective, the player, who arrived at our club in the winter transfer window, is transferred permanently to RB Leipzig," Atletico said in the statement.
The 19-year-old Belgian midfielder has signed for the German club for 22 million euros. He has signed a contract with RB Leipzig for four and a half seasons, until June 2029.
"I am very happy to be at RB Leipzig for the next few years. I have felt very comfortable from day one. Also and above all in terms of my sporting development, what the people in charge gave me when I moved in during the summer. I have the opportunity to develop myself with a lot of minutes and help the team on the pitch," said the player.
