Roma announced on Thursday the signing of Dutchman Devyne Rensch from Ajax to strengthen the right-back position for Claudio Ranieri's side. He arrives for a fee of 6 million euros and signs until 2029.
"Roma are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Devyne Rensch from Ajax," the Giallorossi said in an official statement.
Rensch will compete for one of the team's weakest positions, usually occupied by Turkey's Zeki Celik and recently by Belgian Alexis Saelemakers, who is more of an attacker.
Born in 2003 (22 years old), the Dutchman came through the Ajax youth system and in 2020 made the step up to the first team, where he has made more than 100 official appearances in all competitions.
Rensch, who is also a Netherlands senior international, will wear the number 2 shirt and will be the eighth Dutch player in history to wear the ‘Loba’ shirt.
