The Gunners were deservingly ahead after a dominant display in the first 45 minutes. Son opened the scoring in the 25th minute thanks to a lucky deflection from Saliba, but Arsenal quickly turned it around before the whistle. Gabriel netted from the corner in the 40th minute, though it was later given as an own-goal from Solanke, as Trossard scored four minutes later. No goals were scored in the second period, giving Arsenal a crucial three points to keep their title hopes alive.
