Araujo's entourage denies the Uruguayan is leaving Barca for Juventus

Ronald Araujo has a contract with Barcelona until 2026, but no one knows if he will be with the Catalan side next season. His absence in the first half of the season has hardly been noticed by a team that could let him leave in the summer.
'La Gazzetta dello Sport' reported on Tuesday that the Uruguayan centre-back has been given the green light to join Juventus this January. That would be the first step, as both clubs would have to negotiate.
Injuries at the back for Juventus had led to strong interest in the Uruguayan, as well as in David Hancko. And from Italy it was claimed that his arrival could take place in the coming weeks through a loan deal.
However, ‘Sport’ indicated that Araujo's entourage has denied this information, that the centre-back has not responded to the Bianconeri's proposal, that he is still waiting, and that he is focused on Barcelona.
Araujo's intention right now is to recover after a long injury. For the moment, he has been called up for the Spanish Super Cup and could have minutes either in the semi-final or in a hypothetical final.
