Jude Bellingham has rediscovered the best version of himself to which he accustomed the football world at the start of his Real Madrid career. A tactical change by Ancelotti regarding his position had made the English midfielder's impact on the game less noticeable, although in recent weeks the Birmingham native has returned to his best.
Having scored 6 goals in his last 7 games and being one of the undisputed leaders of the team, Bellingham said after the 'Merengues' win over Atalanta that thanks to having a few meetings with Ancelotti, the Italian has helped him find that freedom on the pitch that he so desperately needed.
"I’m at my best when I play with freedom. I had meetings with Carlo who helped me find that freedom again," he said. "I always want to affect the game with goals and assists, but it’s important I do the rest of my job as well. I now have the sniff back for it, hopefully more is coming.
In addition, the former Dortmund player said he wants to lift the Champions League trophy again with the Spanish club and that they still have a few more levels to go. "We won a lot last season, but I am desperate to do it again and many times for this club. I think we have many levels to go, the fundamental things are what was letting us down.
