Manchester United's new manager has confirmed ahead of his arrival at the club that he will hold talks with interim manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy on Monday to discuss his future.
The Portuguese appears to have an important decision to make as soon as he lands in Manchester, with Van Nistelrooy, who returned to the club under Erik ten Hag, under contract as assistant manager.
One of the problems standing in the way is that Ruben Amorim wants to bring his own technical staff to the club so the former striker's role is in jeopardy.
The former Sporting CP coach after beating Sporting Braga in their last game was asked about the status of both and although he praised the work of the Dutchman he said that they will have to talk to see what decision is made.
"A legend of the club. He did a great job. I have to talk with him tomorrow. Then I will explain everything. I am very clear and I will tell you like it is. Let's wait until tomorrow, said Amorim.
