Amorim credits Antony's improvement at Betis to physical factors

Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim believes Brazilian winger Antony's resurgence at Real Betis is largely due to the different physical demands of La Liga compared to the Premier League.

The Brazilian winger, who struggled for consistency at Old Trafford, has found better form in Spain. Amorim pointed out that the Premier League's physical intensity varies by position and often requires greater movement and endurance.
In contrast, he suggested that La Liga's style of play may be better suited to Antony’s physical attributes. The 25-year-old has contributed three goals and two assists in his first six appearances for the La Liga side.
"We talk about some players like Antony, who is much better in Spain. There are many factors," he noted. "But I guarantee you it's linked to the physical aspect," Amorim emphasised, suggesting that transitioning to a less physically demanding league has allowed the winger to perform confidently and efficiently.
