Real Madrid will be without their main man Vinicius Jr as they head to Anfield to face Liverpool. The Brazilian suffured an injury in his latest league game against Leganes on Saturday, adding onto Madrid's injury woes this season.
The miss could also be critical given the situation for 'Los Blancos' in the Champions League standings. Following two victories and two losses - againt Lille and AC Milan - Ancelotti's men find themselves in an underwhealming 21st position, just two points safe from the elimination zone.
Jude Bellingham spoke on the absence of his teammate, highlighting that while having "one of the best players in the world" in the team represents "a huge quality", it also marks a massive miss "when he's not there". The midfielder commended Vinicius' ability to "decide games", but nevertheless insisted that ruling him out gives the opportunity for other players to "step up and take responsibility"- via 'TNT Sports BR'.
Asked on whether Real Madrid will need to do their best without the 24-year-old, Bellingham said: "Yeah, I think all the players need to step up and take more responsibility. Vini is one of the best players in the world... obviously when he's not here, you feel the miss, but it's a great opportunity for us to come in, step up and take responsibility. As a team we need to do that".
