Alberto Costa arrival at Juventus halts Fresneda move to Como

The Spanish Cesc Fabregas, coach of Como 1907, commented on Monday that the signing of Ivan Fresneda, Spanish right back of Sporting Portugal, became complicated in the last hours.
The youth academy player of Real Madrid, ex-player also of Leganes and Valladolid, was one of Valencia's targets for this transfer market until the 'Lariani' appeared and further convinced the Spanish player.
However, after days of negotiations, the deal is not going to be closed due to a parallel move in which Juventus is involved.
“Fresneda was a player who was very close to arriving, but a Juve operation, in which Sporting Portugal was also involved, complicated things,” said the coach on Monday at a press conference prior to Tuesday's match against Milan.
The Spanish coach is referring to the fact that the 'Vecchia Signora' closed the signing of Vitoria de Guimaraes player Alberto Costa, who had been tipped to replace the Spaniard. By losing that option, the Lisbon club closed the exit door to the Spanish full-back.
